Example A:

Replace your old furnace with a High Efficiency Furnace that includes a High Efficiency Fan Motor.

Estimated Costs:

• High Efficiency Furnace         = $4,500.00
• Home Energy Audit               =    $300.00

                   Total Investment             $4,800.00     

Rebates:

• Ontario Home Energy Audit Rebate    = $150.00
• Ontario Rebate                                 = $500.00
• Ontario power Authority Rebate         = $125.00 
• Enbridge Rebate                               = $100.00
• Federal Rebate                                 = $500.00

                 Total Rebates                        $1,375.00

A typical family of four will also save approximately $330.00 per year (470 cubic meters of gas and 800 kWh of electricity).

Example B:

Replace your old Central Air Conditioning System (10-15 years old) with an Energy Star (14 Seer or more) system.

Estimated Costs:

• Energy Star Central Air Conditioner         = $3,300.00
• Home Energy Audit                                =    $300.00

              Total Investment                              $3,600.00   

Rebates:

• Ontario Home Energy Audit Rebate           = $150.00
• Ontario Rebate                                       = $200.00
• Ontario power Authority Rebate               = $250.00
• Federal Rebate                                       = $200.00

                         Total Rebates                          $800.00

A typical family of four will also save approximately $40.00 per year (350 kWh of electricity).
