H.V.A.C. Installation Technician

Dispatcher

Currently we are looking for a H.V.A.C. Dispatcher. In this position, the responsible person will communicate with the customer to determine their service needs. This person will schedule and notify the technicians of their assignments and enter necessary data into our computer database. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, is flexible, and works well in a team environment while having the discipline to work alone.

The primary responsibilities and expectations of our dispatcher includes the following:

• Primary responsibility is customer service.

• Communicates with customers to determine their needs.

• Schedules and notifies service and install technicians of work order assignments.

• Reviews all work orders and records the details of service to be performed.

• May help requisition supplies as needed for service calls.

• Receives check-in call from the service technicians and informs workers of next job to respond to.

• Supports service and install technicians.

• Creates new work order numbers.

• Maintains customer repair records using computer database to give detailed history of the work performed at their sites, and to specific equipment.

• Maintain dispatching board to ensure maximum efficient capacity of technicians.

• Know and understand service work order module and service contract.

• Active in all facets of dispatch.

• Various reporting responsibilities as needed.

H.V.A.C. Installation Technician

Currently we are looking for a H.V.A.C. Install Technician who has a positive attitude, is flexible, and works well in a team environment while having the discipline to work alone. Experience with high quality residential new construction and retrofit installations of furnaces, air conditioners, and heat pumps would be an asset.

Qualifications required are:

1) G2 Gas License
2) OBT2 Oil License
3) Residential Air Conditioning License
4) Valid Driver’s License
5) Clean Criminal Record Check

As a H.V.A.C. install technician with Carleton Refrigeration, Heating and Air Conditioning Ltd. you will be responsible for installing heating and cooling units to our high standard of excellence. This includes communication with the office and with homeowners.

The primary responsibilities and expectations of our Install Technicians include the following:

- Manage and perform the work ensuring an appropriate standard of quality is maintained throughout.

- Ability to troubleshoot problems on units.

- Track and record parts and labour for efficient invoicing upon the completion of job.

- Be flexible to respond to call-outs and schedule changes.

- Take responsibility for the accurate follow-through of documentation.

- Represent Carleton Refrigeration, Heating and Air Conditioning Ltd. on the job site and maintain good relationship with the customer, ensuring the potential for future sales and upgrades (such as a regular maintenance package).

- Obtain further education and experience in product lines, system design and programming.

- With the nature of a small company, we require all employees to be willing to perform a variety of tasks, some of which may fall out of the “window” of this job description.
